QUESTIONS TO ASK MY BUYERS

  • How knowledgable was Steven regarding the market(s) you were looking to make a purchase in? Did he zero in on homes that met your criteria and not waste your time sending you properties that were not a good fit?

  • Did Steven share details of the sellers declarations and disclose issues with homes you may have been interested in?

  • Did Steven provide you with sale prices of comparable homes to the one you wrote your offer on?

  • Did he alert you to the past history (if any) of the property you wrote your offer on (i.e. how many time on the market, past sale price, etc)?

  • Were closing costs fully explained to you?

  • If your purchase was a condo did Steven explain the extra due diligence involved?

  • Did Steven fully explain every clause of the forms you filled out with him (promise to purchase, annex, etc) making sure you fully understood the process?

  • If there were unexpected issues in your transaction did Steven handle them efficiently?

  • How responsive was Steven when you left a message for him? 
  • Did you receive guidance on procedures from him after you finalized your purchase and all conditions were removed (i.e. from that point on through to the signing at the notary what had to be attended to etc)?
  • How was the service and advice he provided in general?

  • What else can you tell me about Steven as far as your overall experience with him?

  • How pleased were you with Steven's market analysis of your property?

  • Did Steven fully explain every clause of the forms you filled out with him (brokerage contract, sellers declaration, annexes) making sure you fully understood everything?

  • Were closing costs fully explained to you?

  • Was Steven's marketing professional and as he promised?

  • Did he provide you with appropriate advice regarding the preparation of your home ahead of putting it on the market?

  • Did Steven counsel you on how to welcome potential buyers to your home?'

  • Did Steven hold one or more Open Houses and how were they?

  • How effective was he scheduling visits?

  • Did Steven provide you with feedback on all the visits?

  • Was Steven present when the home inspection was conducted by the buyers?

  • Did he closely follow up on all the conditions of the offer alerting you when conditions were satisfied?

  • If there were unexpected issues in your transaction did Steven handle them efficiently?
